The Kappelen Bridge , also known as the Hinterkappelen Bridge, connects Bern-Bethlehem with Hinterkappelen . The bridge is part of the main road 235 , which leads from Aarberg west around the Frienisberg to Bern .

The 174-meter-long road bridge opened in 1920, an elegant concrete structure with a wide central main arch and smaller rows of arches arranged like a viaduct on both sides, leads over the Aare, which was also dammed around 1920 to the Wohlensee .
