Karin Kersten

Karin Kersten (* 1943 in Braunschweig ) is a German writer and translator who lives in Berlin .

Life

Karin Kersten grew up in Braunschweig and studied German and English at the University of Göttingen , later comparative literature at the Free University of Berlin . Kersten has been working as a literary translator since the early 1970s. At first she translated texts from French , now mainly from English . In addition, she wrote contributions for various radio stations and poetry . Her first novel was published in 2005.
