Karin Nohr
Karin Nohr (born February 18, 1950 in Hamburg ) is a German writer .
Life
Karin Nohr grew up in the east of Hamburg. She spent 1966/67 as a fellow of the American Field Service in St. Louis , Missouri. She studied German and English at the Universities of Hamburg and Düsseldorf as well as psychology at the Technical University of Berlin , where she did her doctorate with a thesis on the inner concepts of the musician-instrument relationship. She trained as a psychoanalyst and learned classical singing.
Karin Nohr pursued various teaching activities and worked for many years as a psychotherapist ; she is a lecturer at several therapeutic specialist societies, u. a. the "Working Group for Katathymes Image Life and Imaginative Procedures in Psychotherapy" ( AGKB ) and the German Society for Psychoanalysis and Music , which she co-founded , for which she organized two internationally attended symposia (2010 and 2014 in cooperation with the International Psychoanalytic University Berlin ).
Following a decisive life event, Karin Nohr decided to devote her time only to writing.
In 2012 her first novel was published, Mr. Merse breaks up , in 2013 her second, Four Couples and One Ring . Both were published by Knaus Verlag and also appeared as paperbacks by btb Verlag . The novel Eastern Parakeets followed in 2017 , published by MKH Medien Kontor Hamburg. Stummer Wechsel appeared in 2018 and Kieloben in 2019 , both in the megalomania-Verlag Frankfurt.
Karin Nohr has a daughter and lives in Berlin and Wendland .
