Karl-Andreas Freiherr von Stenglin (born April 21, 1944 in Vienna ) is a former German diplomat who was last ambassador to Malta from 2006 to 2009 .

Life

After graduating from high school , von Stenglin began studying law in 1964 , which he completed in 1969 with the first state examination in law and in 1974 with the second state examination in law.

He then joined in 1975 in the Foreign Service , and found after completion of the career examination for the senior civil service in 1977 initially used as a speaker in the East and South Africa Department of the Foreign Office before he the ambassador in subsequent 1980-1982 Permanent Representative of Uganda was .
