Karl-Heinz Bablok

Karl-Heinz Bablok (* 1956 ) is a German industrial master and hobby beekeeper from Kaisheim .

Life

Bablok is industrial foreman metal at BMW in Munich . In his private life he has been a beekeeper since 1990 and owns 20 colonies with around 1 million honey bees . He gained attention through several legal successes up to the level of the European Court of Justice (judgment there on September 6, 2011) against the cultivation of GM maize by the Monsanto company and the resulting contamination of its honey with genetically modified pollen . The trials had been running since around 2002.

Bablok was awarded the Sepp Daxenberger Prize on October 27, 2011 in the Bavarian State Parliament by the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen party , represented by Renate Künast and Theresa Schopper .

In 2008, Bablok ran unsuccessfully both for the election of the first mayor of Kaisheim on March 2 and for the Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen party in the district council of the Donau-Ries district . Since 2008 he has been a member of the Kaisheim municipal council .
