Karl-Josef Pazzini

Karl-Josef Pazzini (born August 19, 1950 in Krauthausen ) studied philosophy, theology, educational science, mathematics and art education and works as a psychoanalyst in Berlin and Hamburg. From 1993 to 2014 he was professor of fine arts and educational theory at the University of Hamburg. His research topics include: Education Before Images, Psychoanalysis & Teaching, Childhood Innocence, Guilt and the Concept of Transfer .

Life

Pazzini studied philosophy, theology, educational science, mathematics and art education. He then worked as a primary and secondary school teacher. He completed a psychoanalytic, group dynamic and group therapeutic training. Since 1980 he has been running his own practice as a psychoanalyst. He later worked as a university assistant at the Universities of Münster and Hamburg. He received his doctorate in 1982 and habilitation in 1989 on the subject of images and education . The following year he took on a substitute professorship for free painting in the art department of the Kassel University of Applied Sciences . He was a private lecturer at the University of Hamburg and a lecturer at the University of Vienna . In 1991 he accepted the chair for aesthetic education in Lüneburg as a full professor . From 1993 to 2014 he was Professor of Educational Science with a special focus on aesthetic education, with a focus on didactics of the fine arts in the Department of Education at the University of Hamburg. His area of ​​expertise included art education and criticism, with a focus on fine arts in upper secondary school. He is the spokesman for the Fine Arts Society.

Pazzini is a founding member of the Association for Freudian Psychoanalysis , the Psychoanalytical College , the Hamburg Research Group for Psychoanalysis, the Jewish Salon in Grindel , the Scientific Association: Art - Media - Education and the Psychoanalytic Library Berlin . He has been co-editor of the psychoanalytic journal RISS since 2018 .

Pazzini published books, articles in compilations and newspaper articles on topics such as everyday aesthetics, sensuality, psychoanalysis and education. He works as a psychoanalyst in Berlin and Hamburg.
