Karl-Maria Kinsky

Karl-Maria Kinsky (born March 21, 1955 in Baden near Vienna ) is an Austrian actor , cabaret artist , author and singer . He is the father of the author and singer of the same name, Karl-Maria Kinsky junior .

Life

On his father's side, Kinsky comes from the Bohemian nobility of the Kinsky family . He grew up in the town where he was born, where he went to secondary school and, after attending compulsory school, trained as a retail salesman. He later took acting lessons and passed the stage maturity test. After various jobs, he opened the restaurant "Gute Stube" in Bad Vöslau in 1982 .

He started playing cabaret in the mid-1990s. Kinsky became known for his portrayal of Mr. Karl , as an interpreter of the “most famous Qualtinger songs ” ( Bronner / Wehle ), with the program Vom g'schupften Ferdl to the Tröpferlbad , which he performed for several years together with Peter Fernbach and Hans Hausl (piano ) denied, as well as through his portrayal of "Josef Lang - KuK executioner" ( Gerhard Dorfer ). Kinsky ended his work as a (political) cabaret artist in 2000.

In 1998 he first appeared as an actor. Kinsky has appeared in various TV productions such as Medicopter , District Judge Julia , King Otto , Liebe, Lügen, Passenschaften or as "Peitschenpaul" (in the ORF series Tom Turbo ) and has worked with directors such as Peter W. Hochegger and Werner Boats , Rainer Hackstock and Robert Dornhelm together.

From 1995 to 2010 Kinsky was a member of the Parndorfer Kultursomers ensemble and performed there in classical roles at the Summer Games in Parndorf . He was also part of the “Forchtenstein Castle Fantastic” ensemble, which performed at the Festival at Forchtenstein Castle in Burgenland . In the last few years he has worked with the director Bruno Max ( Theater zum Fear ).

Kinsky has been a member of the Mödling City Theater ensemble since 2010 .

He has two biological and one adopted child and lives with his partner in Baden.
