Karl-Wilhelm Lange

Karl-Wilhelm Lange (born April 25, 1933 in Guben ) is a former German local politician (SPD) and an association official.

Life

After attending school in Ilmenau , Berlin , Wernigerode and Stade , Lange laid out in Hann. End the Abitur exam. He then studied law and social sciences in Freiburg and Göttingen . The first state examination followed in Celle in 1958 and the second state examination in Hamburg in 1962 . Following the state examination, he worked as a government assessor in the Ministry of the Interior and Economics in Kiel. From 1963 to 1966 he held the office of mayor of the city of Meldorf , from 1966 to 1992 the office of city ​​director in Hann. Münden. From 1993 to 1997, Lange was district president of the Braunschweig district government . During his tenure, he worked primarily in the areas of administrative reform and cultural policy.

Lange is one of the founding members of the German Half-timbered Cities Working Group , of which he is honorary chairman. From 1998 to 2002 he was also President of the German War Graves Commission (Volksbund). Before that, he had been involved in the Volksbund for many years at local, district and state level.
