Willi Thiele

Wilhelm Thiele (born October 3, 1915 in Königslutter ; † February 6, 2000 ) was a German administrative lawyer and president of the Lower Saxony administrative district of Braunschweig .

Life

Thiele was the son of city inspector Willi Thiele and Emmy Thiele, b. Lambrecht. He married in 1942 and had two children. From 1940 to 1945 he did military service.

He studied law and political science in Freiburg and Cologne . 1949 followed in Cologne the doctorate with the work Vorrats- und Abwehrzeichen.

In 1956 he became department head of the Senate Department for National Education in Berlin, and in 1959 he began his service in the Lower Saxony Ministry of the Interior , where he became ministerial director and department head. From 1964 to 1977 he was administrative president in Braunschweig. After the President of the State Bank, Carl Düvel , resigned from the chairmanship of the Norddeutsche Landesbank, he became the last President of the Braunschweigische Staatsbank at short notice. Thiele was also an honorary professor of law at the Technical University of Braunschweig . In addition to a number of books, he has published more than 250 specialist articles (as of 1985).

Others

In 1965 Thiele was elected President of the Braunschweig Regional Association of the German Red Cross . Another honorary position was the presidency of the Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge from 1970 to 1978.
