Karl Alberti

Karl Alberti (born December 15, 1856 in Asch , Bohemia ; † November 7, 1953 in Bayreuth ) was a Sudeten German teacher and local researcher .

Life

Alberti was the eldest son of 14 children of the Ascher superintendent Traugott Alberti. The Alberti pastor family came to Asch from the Saxon Vogtland around 1820 . He attended the teacher training institute in Bielsko , Silesia , after which he worked at the associated training school before moving to the training school in Opava . In Vienna he got a job as a primary school teacher and later as a middle school teacher . During this time he was already active as a writer, especially for the Bayreuth papers . In 1893 Alberti became director of the first girls', elementary and community school in Asch. From 1921 he kept the town chronicle of Asch. As a homeland researcher, he submitted over 80 writings on the history of Asch. a. with the stone crosses in the area, the presence of Goethe in the region and the history of the Ascher Ländchen including Neuberk Castle , as well as the biography of Robert Schumann's first fiancé Ernestine von Fricken .
