Karl August Schwarz
Karl August Schwarz (born November 25, 1781 ; † 1853 ) was a German architect and construction clerk in the Grand Duke of Baden , to whom several distinctive Weinbrenner-style buildings in northern Kraichgau can be traced back to the present day.
Schwarz, who, in contrast to official documents, always wrote to himself as Schwartz , was a pupil of the architect Friedrich Weinbrenner and continued in his planning the Baden form of classicism founded by Weinbrenner . He lived and worked as a government builder and building officer in Karlsruhe and Bruchsal . From 1807 he was an architect and building supervisor in the entire northern Kraichgau . With a decree of October 21, 1820 he was appointed building inspector of the Pfinzkreis .
To he built buildings which include Schomberg Castle of the Counts of Degenfeld in Stebbach (1820-1826), the Town Hall of Epping (1825), the Cross Church in Unteröwisheim (1825 to 1828) and is distinguishing by its striking semi-circular floor plan Parish Church St Nazarius in Adelshofen (1830–1835).
