Karl Bösken

Karl Bösken (born March 27, 1895 in Geldern ; † December 26, 1970 ) was a German local politician and honorary district administrator ( CDU ).

Life and work

After attending school in Kempen, Bösken completed a pharmacy degree at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms University in Bonn. He then worked as a pharmacist . Bösken was married to Carola Bösken nee Stapper. The Bösken couple have three children: Karl-Heinz Bösken-Diebels (+), Professor Gerd Bösken and Maria-Elisabeth Heveling nee Bösken.

He was a member of the district council of the former district of Geldern from 1950 to 1969. From November 15, 1950 to November 9, 1969 he was district administrator of the district of Geldern. He was also a member of the City Council of Geldern from 1946 to 1969 and mayor from 1952 to 1969 without interruption .

Bösken was active in various committees of the district assembly of North Rhine-Westphalia .

On October 18, 1965, Klingenthal was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class.
