Maximilian August von Loë

Maximilian August Graf von Loë (* July 20, 1817 at Wissen Castle near Weeze ; † June 30, 1879 ibid) was a Lower Rhine landowner in the Rhine Province . He sat in the constituent Reichstag of the North German Confederation .

origin

Maximilian August von Loë came from the noble family of Loë . He was the son of Friedrich Karl Alexander Klemens von Loë (from October 15, 1840 Count von Loë-Wissen), who was a member of the Rhenish Provincial Parliament from 1826 to 1845 for the 2nd estate. The mother was Countess Luise Wolff Metternich zur Gracht (1800–1837), the daughter of Max Werner Joseph Anton Wolff-Metternich zur Gracht . Felix von Loë was a brother.

Life

He attended high school in Düsseldorf and studied law in Bonn from 1838 to 1841. From 1843 to 1844 he worked for the government in Düsseldorf and in 1846 became mayor of Weeze. He was the owner of the property Wissen and Alten-Vehlar in the district of Geldern and Adendorf in the district of Rheinbach . He was a Knight of the Sovereign Order of Malta and Chief Chamberlain of the Crown of Prussia .

In 1847 he was a member of the United State Parliament . In 1848 he was elected to the Prussian National Assembly. In 1850 he was a member of the state house of the Erfurt Union Parliament . From 1851 to 1854 he was district administrator of the district of Geldern and from 1851 to 1856 he sat in the Rhenish provincial parliament (Prussia) , of which he was vice-president from 1852 to 1854.

In 1867 Maximilian August von Loë was a member of the constituent Reichstag of the North German Confederation for the constituency of Düsseldorf 8 ( Kleve , Geldern ) and the Free Conservative Association .

He had been a member of the Corps Borussia Bonn since 1838 .

family

Von Loë, who was a Catholic denomination, married Therese Anna Ludivica Countess von Arco-Zinneberg on June 6, 1854 in Munich (born December 13, 1835 in Munich, † June 20, 1906 at Burg adendorf), the daughter of Count Maximilian von Arco -Zinneberg . The couple had several children:

  • Friedrich-Leopold Aloysius Maria Hubertus (* May 21, 1861; † April 14, 1899), member of the Reichstag ⚭ 1888 Countess Paula von Korff called Schmising (* July 14, 1863)
  • Luise Marie Frederike Huberta Ignatia (born July 30, 1863), sister of the Dominican Order
