Karl Brück (born May 12, 1895 in Saarbrücken ; † June 8, 1964 there ) was Gauleiter of the NSDAP between 1931 and 1933.

Life

After attending primary school in Kleinblittersdorf , Brück completed a four-year apprenticeship as a sandformer and then worked as a journeyman at various companies . From 1912 to 1914 he excelled in a leading position with the scouts in Saarbrücken.

After the outbreak of the First World War , Brück volunteered for the war on August 2, 1914. From September 25, 1914 to January 29, 1915 he fought in France , and from February 2, 1915 in Russia , where he was seriously wounded. He then stayed in a hospital for a year .

From October 3, 1916 on, Brück worked at the mechanical engineering school in Cologne until he was required to do military service and then as an appointment officer. From 1920 to 1922 he was a member and then on the board of the Deutschvölkischer Schutz- und Trutzbund . In 1922 he was co-founder and 2nd chairman of the NSDAP local group in Saarbrücken.

The sawmill worker rejoined the NSDAP in February 1927 and became local group leader of Saarbrücken and in 1929 deputy Gauleiter. In 1931 he was appointed Gauleiter of the Saar district. He held this office until February 28, 1933. From 1932 he belonged as one of two NSDAP members to the last regional council of the Saar area . From November 1933, he represented the Reichstag , which was brought into line with constituency 21 . From June 1933 to 1934 he was the head of the organizational office of the supreme leadership of the political organization of the NSDAP. In 1934 he became head of organization of the German Front in the Saar area and in 1935 director of the social department of the administration of the Saar pits. On March 29, 1936, he resigned from the Reichstag after being unsuccessfully proposed for it. From 1941 he was still deputy district leader of the districts in Saarbrücken and the surrounding area.

1948 bridge was the denazification of a Spruchkammer found "guilty" and sentenced to three years detention.
