Karl Dolling

Karl Dölling (born December 6, 1922 in Uebigau ; † May 25, 1986 in Cottbus ) was a German politician ( CDU ). He was chairman of the CDU district council in Cottbus and a member of the People's Chamber of the GDR

Life

The son of a worker attended elementary school and completed an apprenticeship as an administrative clerk from 1937 to 1939. He was drafted into the armed forces for military service.

In 1945 he was a co-founder of the CDU local group in Uebigau and a member of the Antifa youth committee. At first he worked as a farm worker from 1945 to 1946. In 1946 he was elected to the district council and city council of Liebenwerda and was head of the city council. From 1946 to 1954 he was an employee or district councilor for finance at the council of the Liebenwerda district. From 1949 to 1958 he acted as chairman of the CDU district association Liebenwerda and at the same time as vice chairman of the district committee of the National Front .

From 1950 to 1954 he was a member of the CDU parliamentary group of the People's Chamber and since December 1950 a member of the Standing Committee for Economic and Financial Matters.

From 1954 to 1958 he was deputy chairman of the council of the Liebenwerda district. In March 1958 he was elected chairman of the CDU district association in Cottbus and succeeded the executive chairman Kurt Stolle. At the 9th party congress of the CDU in October 1958, he was elected to the main board of the CDU. From 1958 Dölling was a member of the Cottbus district assembly. At the 13th party congress of the CDU in October 1972, he was elected a member of the Central Committee of Inquiry of the CDU.

Dölling died suddenly at the age of 63 and was buried in the Cottbus south cemetery.
