Karl Friedrich Dieck

Karl Friedrich Dieck (born June 27, 1798 in Calbe , † February 25, 1847 in Halle ) was a German lawyer .

Life

Karl Friedrich Dieck was born in Calbe on June 27, 1798 as the son of a doctor . He attended a grammar school in Halberstadt and then studied from 1816 to 1820 at the universities of Halle , Berlin and Göttingen . On April 7, 1821, he obtained his doctorate in law at the former . He then taught there as a private lecturer . In 1823 and 1830 he was offered positions in Dorpat and Königsberg , which he declined; on October 7, 1826 he became an associate professor, on March 7, 1833 a full professor of law. He died on February 25, 1847 at the age of 48, still in Halle. He was a member of the Halle Masonic lodge to the three swords .
