Karl Heinz Däke

Karl Heinz Däke (born February 25, 1943 in Neuenburg / Friesland ) is a German economist . Däke was President of the Taxpayers' Association (BdSt) in Germany from 1994 to June 2012 .

Life

Karl Heinz Däke was born as the third child of the commercial employee Wilhelm Däke and Gertrud Däke, née. Kolwes born. His father died in Soviet captivity at the end of 1945 . From 1949 Karl Heinz Däke attended school in Delmenhorst and from 1953 the local modern language grammar school , where he passed the school leaving examination in 1964 . Starting in the winter semester of 1964, he studied economics at the University of Cologne . In 1969 he passed his diploma exam and became an executive assistant at the BdSt North Rhine-Westphalia . 1975 doctorate he with the issue of possibilities to influence the rationality of tax and financial policy decisions to Dr. rer. pole. From 1975 he was on the board of the BdSt North Rhine-Westphalia, from 1978 as deputy state chairman, from January 1, 1989 to July 1, 1995 as state chairman. On June 9, 1994, the BdSt presidential assembly elected him for the first time. In addition, he is Chairman of the Karl-Bräuer-Institute of the BdSt, Vice-President of the Taxpayers Association of Europe (TAE) and Vice Chairman of the World Taxpayers Association (WTA). His successor at the head of the Taxpayers' Association has been Reiner Holznagel since July 1, 2012 .

A former employee of the Taxpayers Association filed a criminal complaint against Däke in 2005 for breach of trust . Because of controversial salary payments, SPD parliamentary group vice-president Joachim Poss then demanded his resignation. Investigations into suspected infidelity were soon closed. According to the Wiesbaden public prosecutor's office, there is “no evidence of damage to the association”.

Däke is married to the painter and professor Barbara Camilla Tucholski . Däke is an art and music lover as well as a sailor. He has all the important sailing licenses .
