Karl Leopold Michaelis

Karl Paul Leopold Michaelis (born April 6, 1822 in Glogau , † July 22, 1886 in Frankfurt an der Oder ) was a lawyer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Michaelis attended high schools in Glogau and Hirschberg and studied law at the University of Berlin . In 1843 he became a member of the Corps Marchia Berlin . After graduating, he worked at the Royal City and Chamber Court in Berlin and at the Court of Appeal in Halberstadt . From 1852 he was assessor and from 1853 judge in Worbis and Bunzlau . Most recently he was a district judge in Frankfurt (Oder) .

From 1873 to 1879 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives and from 1874 to 1878 of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Liegnitz 5 ( Löwenberg ) and the National Liberal Party .
