Karl Ludwig Dietrich of Gemmingen

Karl Ludwig Dietrich von Gemmingen (born July 14, 1772 in Stuttgart ; † October 4, 1825 ) was the Württemberg Chamberlain and from 1817 government director of the Black Forest District .

Life

He came from the 2nd sub-branch (Stuttgart) of the 2nd branch (Guttenberg and Fürfeld) of the barons of Gemmingen-Guttenberg and was a son of Johann Dietrich von Gemmingen (1744-1805) and Friederike von Bönninghausen (1744-1806). He graduated from the High Charles School in Stuttgart and came to Wetzlar as an intern at the Imperial Court of Justice in 1796 . After that he was assessor in Hofgericht in Tübingen and then Regierungsrat in Ulm . From 1806 to 1813 he was a senior justice advisor at the Criminal Tribunal in Esslingen , then governor in Calw . In 1817 he became director of the district government of the Black Forest district in Reutlingen .

From 1820 to 1824 he was a member of the second chamber of the Knighthood of the Neckar District in the Württemberg estates .

He was married to Henriette von Berlichingen-Jagsthausen (1780–1862). The marriage had three children.
