Karl Rüsewald

Adam Karl Rüsewald (born May 30, 1880 in Neheim ; † after April 1, 1940) was a German pedagogue , deputy head of the Lyceum in Wanne and author of school textbooks that were reprinted several times.

Life

The Catholic Karl Rüsewald grew up as the son of master plumber Josef Rüsewald in Neheim in the Sauerland . From the local elementary school he moved to the Royal High School in Paderborn , where he passed the certificate of maturity in March 1901. He then took up a six-semester course at the Royal Wilhelms University in Münster . On February 4, 1905, he passed the first examination for the higher teaching post in geography (level I) as well as mathematics and physics there(Stage II). Rüsewald started his first job as a teacher on April 1, 1905 at the secondary school in Bochum . From April 23 to July 1, 1905, the secondary school in development in Dortmund followed, and then from July 15, 1905 to April 1, 1906, the upper secondary school there. He returned to Bochum, where he was sworn in for school service on February 24, 1908.

The married family man Karl Rüsewald (five children) performed his military duty as a one-year volunteer from April 1, 1907 with the Royal Prussian Infantry Regiment No. 16 in Mülheim am Rhein .
