Karl Richter (born March 27, 1958 ) is a former German soccer player who played 269 ​​games with 24 goals in the 2nd Bundesliga from 1980 to 1989 .

Rot-Weiss Essen, 1980 to 1984

Defender Karl Richter, who came to Rot-Weiss Essen in 1980 from FC St. Georgen via FC 08 Villingen from the Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg region , had recommended himself for the second league through his six appearances in the amateur national team in 1979. Coach Rolf Schafstall used the strong defensive player in 31 games in the 1980/81 round.
