Karl Schölch

Karl Schölch (born January 31, 1932 ; † January 13, 2008 in Kassel ) was a master body and vehicle builder and technician, member of the executive committee of the Central Association of German Crafts and later President of the Kassel Chamber of Crafts .

Life

Karl Schölch was born as the son of Heinrich Schölch , factory owner, and Hulda Landgraf. In 1960 he became a board member of the Central Association of Body and Vehicle Technology , 1975 President of the Central Association of Body and Vehicle Technology, elected member of the plenary assembly of the Chamber of Crafts in 1984 and elected President of the Kassel Chamber of Crafts in 1989. He held this office, President of the Kassel Chamber of Crafts, until 1996.

His sister, Ellen Schölch (* 1936 ), studied with Adorno, a graduate sociologist, and married Ludwig von Friedeburg on April 8, 1960. Karl Schölch was married to Gisela nee. Weltner and had three sons.

Awards

In the course of his life he was awarded by the State of Hesse, among other things, with the Letter of Honor of the State of Hesse and the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class and in 1998 the Great Cross of Merit. The Chamber of Crafts awarded him the Golden Craftsman's Mark and the Golden Badge of Honor from the Central Association of Body and Vehicle Technology.
