Karl Sigmund Christian Grießenbeck von Grießenbach (born June 14, 1844 in Regensburg , † March 28, 1881 in Munich ) was a Bavarian landowner and magistrate in Landshut . He was a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Deputies from 1875 to 1878 .
Life
Karl Sigmund Christian Freiherr Grießenbeck von Grießenbach came from the old Lower Bavarian noble family Grießenbeck von Grießenbach and Hahnreit. In 1739 the family was elevated to the status of electoral Bavarian baron. His paternal grandfather was the royal Bavarian major general and commander of the Bavarian Cadet Corps Karl Ernst Grießenbeck von Grießenbach (* 1787, † 1863). His father Christian Adam Karl Freiherr Grießenbeck von Grießenbach (* 1809; † 1853) was a royal Bavarian chamberlainand Oberrechnungsrat in Munich. His second marriage was Caroline, born von Kobell, the mother of Karl Sigmund Christian.
Grießenbeck von Grießenbach passed the Abitur exams at Munich's Maximiliansgymnasium in 1862 , with Friedrich Jolly among others . He then studied law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and entered the Bavarian civil service as a lawyer. He was appointed royal Bavarian treasurer and worked as a magistrate in Landshut. From 1875 to 1878, the 14th electoral term, he was a member of the 27th and 28th Bavarian Chamber of Deputies for the Bavarian Patriot Party . He ran in the constituency of Straubing / Lower Bavaria and was the 4th secretary in the Presidium of the Chamber of Deputies. Grießenbeck von Grießenbach was active in several committees, among others in the committee for the consultation of the draft law The establishment of an administrative court and the procedure in administrative matters and in the committee for the consultation of the draft law the collection of a fee for keeping dogs. On January 19, 1878, due to personal circumstances, he made a resignation request, which was granted on January 21, 1878. His successor was Ulrich Erl.
Karl Sigmund Christian Grießenbeck von Grießenbach died on March 28, 1881, at the age of 36 in Munich. He married Theresia Freiin von Solemacher-Antweiler (* 1848, † 1919) in Koblenz in 1870 . The couple had four daughters.
