Karl Wilhelm von Jäger
Karl Wilhelm von Jäger (* 1686 ; † December 1744 ) was a Prussian lieutenant colonel .
Life
Jäger came from a noble family from New Markets . He served in the Prussian army in the infantry regiment "Prince Heinrich" (No. 12) in 1730 as a prime lieutenant and in 1740 as a grenadier captain .
He was the commander of a grenadier battalion , which also comprised the grenadier companies of the regiments "Varenne" (No. 31) and "Kreytzen" (No. 40) .
In recognition of his extraordinary services, the king promoted him, possibly posthumously , from captain to Infantry Regiment No. 12 promoted to lieutenant colonel by the army. He died at the age of 58 from injury at the beginning of December 1744 when the Prussian troops marched out of Bohemia .
