Karl Martin Graf zu Stolberg-Roßla (born August 1, 1822 in Ortenberg ; † January 24, 1870 at Schwiederschwende hunting lodge, Breitungen ) was a German civil registry lord .

Karl zu Stolberg came from the former imperial direct line of the counts Stolberg-Roßla of the noble family Stolberg , who enjoyed various privileges as noblemen in Prussia . The family held estates in the county of Stolberg-Roßla and in Ortenberg in the Grand Duchy of Hesse and consequently hereditary seats in the Prussian United State Parliament (1847), the Prussian manor house ([1854] 1855–1870) and in the First Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse (1847 –1849 (not formally entered) and 1856–1870). Karl zu Stolberg's parents were August Friedrich Graf zu Stolberg-Roßla (1768–1846) and Countess Karoline, née zu Erbach-Schönberg (1785–1848).

Karl zu Stolberg married Bertha Countess zu Solms-Rödelheim (1824-1896), daughter of Karl zu Solms-Rödelheim and sister of the manor house member Maximilian zu Solms-Rödelheim . The couple had six children. The oldest son Botho zu Stolberg-Roßla became heir .

Life

Since the death of his father in 1846, Karl zu Stolberg has been the registrar of the county of Stolberg-Roßla at the age of 24. From 1855 he took the seat of the family in the Prussian mansion, to which he belonged until his death in 1870.
