Maximilian zu Solms-Rödelheim

Maximilian (Max) Graf zu Solms-Rödelheim and Assenheim (born May 14, 1826 in Assenheim ; † February 15, 1892 there ) was a Hessian landlord and landowner from the Solms-Rödelheim family .

Life

Maximilian Graf zu Solms-Rödelheim came from the Hessian noble family Solms . He was a son of Karl Ludwig Friedrich Christian Graf zu Solms-Rödelheim (1790-1844) and Countess Luise Amalie von Erbach-Schönberg (1795-1875). Maximilian was Otto zu Solms-Rödelheim's older brother . He married Thekla Countess zu Solms-Laubach on June 1, 1861 (* June 4, 1836, † January 17, 1892). His eldest son Karl Franz zu Solms-Rödelheim (1864–1923) succeeded him as a registrar. Other children were Sophie (1866–1914), Ernst (1868–1920), Anna (1869–1936), Bertha (1871–1912) and Marie (1873–1955).

He initially received private lessons and from 1845 attended high school in Gotha. In October 1846 he enrolled at Heidelberg University in philosophy. From 1847 to 1848 he made a trip to Europe.

According to the constitution of the Grand Duchy of Hesse , he was a member of the first chamber of the state estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse from 1844 . Since he was a minor, his uncle Franz zu Solms-Rödelheim (1796-1852) took on the mandate for him from 1844 to 1847 . Due to the March Revolution , the mandates of the landlords in the First Chamber, which was now elected, ended. In 1856 the mandates of the class lords were reintroduced. In 1867 he became a hereditary member of the Prussian mansion , to which he belonged until his death.

In 1868 he was a member of the Nassau Municipal Parliament and from 1885 to 1892 a member of the Kassel Municipal Parliament .
