Karl (Carl) Friedrich Ludwig Christian Ferdinand Graf zu Solms-Rödelheim and Assenheim (born May 15, 1790 in Assenheim , † March 18, 1844 ibid) was a Hessian landlord and landowner from the House of Solms-Rödelheim .

family

Karl Graf zu Solms-Rödelheim came from the Hessian noble family Solms . He was a son of Volrath Friedrich Carl Ludwig Graf zu Solms-Rödelheim and Assenheim (1762-1818) and his wife Philippine Charlotte Sophie , née Countess zu Solms-Laubach (1771-1807). Karl was the older brother of Friedrich and Franz . He married Louise Amalie , née Countess zu Solms-Laubach (1795–1875), the daughter of Gustav Ernst Graf zu Erbach-Schönberg (1739–1812) and Henriette Christiane, née Countess zu Stolberg-Stolberg , on January 1, 1824 in Schönberg (1753-1816). They had the following children:

Life

He first received private lessons and attended the Collegium Carolinum in Braunschweig from 1806 to 1808. In 1810/12 he studied at the universities of Gießen and Göttingen . In 1813 he entered Austrian and 1815 Prussian military service . Then he trained in administration with Friedrich Graf zu Solms-Laubach. In February 1818 he took over the class rule. In 1843 he became lieutenant general à la suite in Hesse-Darmstadt .

According to the constitution of the Grand Duchy of Hesse , he was a member of the first chamber of the state estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse from 1820 . He was a member of the state parliament from 1820 to 1842 and took his deputy oath on November 14, 1820 . From 1832 to 1833 he was Second President of the Chamber.
