The In der Hardt nature reserve is a 3.18  hectare nature reserve (NSG) southwest of Lössel in the urban area of Iserlohn in the Märkisches Kreis in North Rhine-Westphalia . The area was designated as NSG by ordinance by the Arnsberg district government in 1950 . The NSG was designated again in 1997 by the district council of the Märkischer Kreis with the landscape plan No. 4 Iserlohn .

Area description

The NSG is a heather .

Protection purpose

The nature reserve was designated for the preservation and development of a heather and as a habitat for endangered animal and plant species. As with other nature reserves in Germany, the protection designation indicated that the area became a nature reserve “because of its scenic beauty and uniqueness”.
