Nature reserve Auf der Humpfert
The nature reserve Auf der Humpfert is a 3.9 hectare nature reserve (NSG) northwest of Letmathe in the city of Iserlohn in the Märkisches Kreis in North Rhine-Westphalia . The NSG was designated in 1997 by the district council of the Märkisches Kreis with the landscape plan No. 4 Iserlohn . The NSG goes to the city limits of Hagen . Here it borders on the 56.4 hectare nature reserve Henkhauser- und Hasselbachtal, which lies in the city of Hagen .
Area description
The NSG is a beech forest .
Protection purpose
The nature reserve was designated for the preservation and development of a forest area and as a habitat for endangered animal and plant species. As with other nature reserves in Germany, the protection designation indicated that the area became a nature reserve “because of its scenic beauty and uniqueness”.
