Jost Christian Graf (since 1893 Prince ) zu Stolberg-Roßla (born December 28, 1886 in Roßla ; † July 1, 1916 in a military hospital , Kowel ) was a German civil registry lord .

Jost Christian Stolberg came from the formerly rich immediate Count Stolberg-line Roßla the noble family Stolberg , as Standesherren in Prussia various privileges enjoyed. The family held estates in the county of Stolberg-Roßla and in Ortenberg in the Grand Duchy of Hesse and consequently hereditary seats in the Prussian mansion (1918) and in the First Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse (1916–1918, never formally entered). He was the son of Prince Botho zu Stolberg-Roßla (1850-1893) and his second wife Hedwig, née Princess zu Isenburg and Büdingen in Büdingen (1863-1925). His siblings were Marie (1880–1920), Bertha (1884–1884), Elisabeth (1885–1969), Christoph Martin (1888–1949), Johann August (1889–1920), Ernst Heinrich (1890–1946) and Mathilde ( 1894-1952).

Career

Jost Christian zu Stolberg was a Prussian Rittmeister in the 3rd Guard Uhlan Regiment .

As a registrar he was a hereditary member of the Saxon provincial parliament in Prussia since the fall of the County of Roßla in 1826 . Because of the Ortenberg rule he was in the Grand Duchy of Hesse as a registrar from 1911 to 1916, a member of the First Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .
