Karly Shorr (born May 18, 1994 in Commerce Township , Michigan ) is an American snowboarder . She starts in the freestyle disciplines .

Career

Shorr has participated in FIS competitions and the Ticket to Ride World Snowboard Tour since 2010 . In January 2010 she won her first victory in slopestyle at the US Revolution Tour on Mount Snow . At the Snowboard Junior World Championships 2011 in Chiesa in Valmalenco she won the bronze medal in slopestyle. She drove her first World Cup race in January 2013 in Copper Mountain , which she finished in 11th place in slopestyle. In her first Olympic participation in Sochi in 2014 , she came sixth in slopestyle. In the 2014/15 season she took second place in slopestyle at the US Snowboarding Grand Prix and World Cup races in Park City and thus achieved fourth place in the Slopestyle World Cup. At the 2015 Snowboard World Championships on Kreischberg , she finished 13th in Big Air and ninth in Slopestyle. In March 2015 she won the Slopestyle at the Pamporovo Freestyle Open in Pamporowo . In the 2015/16 season she was third in the US Grand Prix and World Cup in Mammoth and second in slopestyle at the World Cup in Bokwang Phoenix Park in Pyeongchang . In March 2016, she finished second in slopestyle at the Burton US Open in Vail . At the 2016 Snowboard World Championships in Yabuli , she finished tenth in Big Air and ninth in Slopestyle. At the end of the season, she finished fourth in the Freestyle World Cup and second in the Slopestyle World Cup. The following year she finished sixth in slopestyle at the Winter X-Games 2017 in Aspen and came 26th in Big Air and fourth in slopestyle at the 2017 Snowboard World Championships in Sierra Nevada .
