history

The band was founded in 1999 in Umag by Nenad Cirjak (Neno). He was a fan of electronic music and was well versed in dance trends . He founded the group with his friend Josip Miani (Pipi). His role models were Gigi D'Agostino , Eiffel 65 , Scooter , Sasha and DJ Molella . Neno traveled extensively in Europe and worked as a professional DJ in various discos . He was looking for new styles and sounds. Italian discotheques that always accompanied such electronic music had a great influence on the group and their dance style. Pipi took over the keyboards. He plays classics, evergreens , rock and pop hits and his role models were Jean Michel Jarre , Vangelis , Kraftwerk and Enigma . The band's last missing piece of the puzzle was a singer . After many problems, they found a piano teacher, Mirela Zemcak, whose voice went well with the band's sound. But Zemcak was involved in other bands and so Majda Susejl (Tara) came to the group. The band has existed with this line-up since that time.

In 2001 her first album Sedam Dana was released . With the title track, the band won a music festival in Split . On the album, Karma also interpreted songs by Croatian artists from the 1980s such as Novi Fosili , Zdravko Čolić and Prljavo Kazalite . The album quickly made the band known.

Her second album, Zavrti Život , was released in 2002 and became particularly popular in the Czech Republic . An album followed in 2003 called Remixes, which contained remixed versions by Minea , Colonia , Sendi Cenov and Ivana Banfić, among others .

In 2004 the fourth album Malo Pomalo followed . Her first DVD followed a year later.

In 2006 Avantura was released . In 2007 another album was released under the title Seven Days , this contains a best-of of Karma songs in English. In the same year there was also a best of.
