The cashmere fire herb ( Phlomis cashmeriana ) is a plant of the genus phlomis ( Phlomis ) in the family of Labiatae (Lamiaceae).

The Kashmir brand herb is a perennial herbaceous plant that forms root tubers and reaches heights of 60 to 150 centimeters. The blade of the lower leaves is oblong-egg-shaped to triangular, at the base they are heart-shaped or arrow-shaped. The upper lip of the crown is more or less straight. The partial fruits are hairy at the tip.

The flowering period extends from May to July.

Occurrence

The species occurs in Turkmenia, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Kashmir on open slopes at altitudes of 1300 to 2950 meters.

use

The cashmere fire herb is rarely used as an ornamental plant for rock gardens. The species has been in culture at least since 1842.
