Kasia Pietrzko (born March 15, 1994 in Bielsko-Biała as Katarzyna Pietrzko ) is a Polish jazz musician ( piano , composition ).

Pietrzko graduated from the arts secondary school in her hometown and then studied jazz piano at the Krakow Music Academy ; she took part in music workshops by Ed Cherry , Kenny Garrett , Eric Marienthal and Chuck Israels . She also studied in New York with Aaron Parks , Taylor Eigsti , Johnny O'Neal , Aaron Goldberg and Kenny Werner .

Pietrzko recorded albums with Joanna Słowińska and Sinfonietta Cracovia, and with Stanisław Słowiński. In 2015 she performed with her Kasia Pietrzko Trio at the International Jazz Pianist Festival in Kalisz. Together with the Stanisław Słowiński Quintet, she won the Grand Prix of the International Jazz Juniors Competition in Kraków in the same year. In September 2017, their trio's debut album Forthright Stories (with Andrzej Święs and Piotr Budniak) was released, which was positively received by critics and the environment and nominated for a Fryderyk . She is also part of the Tony Williams tribute to Michał Miśkiewicz . She also worked with Adam Larson , Troy Roberts, Henryk Miśkiewicz , Mateusz Smoczyński and Tomasz Stańko . She toured internationally with Adam Bałdych .
