Kaspar von Buchwaldt

Kaspar von Buchwaldt (born January 18, 1797 in Kiel , † October 29, 1875 in Pronstorf ) was a Holstein manor owner and Danish administrative and court official .

Kaspar von Buchwaldt was the son of the landowner Friedrich Christian von Buchwaldt . He attended the Katharineum in Lübeck until Michaelis 1815 and then studied at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1819 he became a member of the Corps Holsatia Heidelberg. After completing his studies, he returned to his home in Holstein and became the owner of Gut Pronstorf . He was a royal Danish chamberlain and district administrator as well as a member of the Holstein assembly of estates for noble estates. In 1852 he was Vice President of the Government for Schleswig-Holstein .

His only daughter Adelheid Luise married Otto Reichsgraf Rantzau-Breitenburg , with which after the death of Kaspar von Buchwaldts Pronstorf passed to the Rantzau family.
