Kaspichan [ kaspitʃɐn ] ( bulg . Каспичан ) is a city in northeastern Bulgaria . The city is located in Shumen Oblast , near the cities of Novi Pasar and Pliska . The city of Kaspichan is the administrative center of the municipality of the same name Kaspichan.

The Kaspichan is about 70 km north-west of Varna with its Black Sea port and about 120 km from the Danube ports in Ruse and Silistra . The city is connected to Varna and Shumen by the A2 motorway , which will in future lead to Sofia .
The Kaspichan is an important railway traffic junction in northeast Bulgaria, it connects the northeast with the west of Bulgaria and northern Bulgaria with southern Bulgaria (railway lines: Varna-Russe and Varna-Shumen- Gorna Oryachowitsa - Sofia ).
Kaspichan Municipality
The municipality of Kaspichan is located in the center of northeast Bulgaria. It borders on the municipalities of Shumen, Novi Pasar and Prowadija. Seven villages belong to the community. The Hemus motorway, which connects Sofia with Varna, runs through the municipality.
