Kastlösa is a municipality belonging to Mörbylånga ( Tatort ) on the Swedish island of Öland in the Baltic Sea .

The village is located in the south-western part of the island on road 136. South of Kastlösa, near the village of Bjärby , is the Kvarnkärret moor . The barren landscape of the Stora Alvaret extends east of the village .

Kastlösa Church

The church of Kastlösa was built in the 19th century. During a renovation in 1952, the nave was divided into three areas. The interior of the church is characterized by a large fresco showing the risen Christ .

The Kastlösa stone box discovered in 2011 is in the village .

Personalities

The Swedish social democrat Sigvard Ohlsson was born in Kastlösa in 1908.
