Katari ( Nepali कटारी Katari ) is a city ( municipality ) in the eastern Terai of Nepal in the Udayapur district .
Katari is located on a left tributary of the Kamala in the eastern Terai of Nepal. A road leads south to the town of Mirchaiya , which is on Mahendra Rajmarg . The city of Katari was created in 2014 by merging the Village Development Committees Katari and Triveni . The urban area has an area of 168.46 km².
Residents
In the 2011 census, the VDCs, from which the city of Katari emerged, had 28,123 inhabitants (13,242 male) in 6,042 households.
