Mirchaiya ( Nepali मिर्चैया Mirchaiya ) is a city ( municipality ) in the eastern Terai of Nepal in the Siraha district .
The city was created in 2014 by amalgamating the Village Development Committees Phulbariya , Maheshpur Gamharia , Malhaniyakhori , Radhopur , Ramnagar Mirchaiya , Rampur Birta and Sitapur Prada . The urban area covers 83.98 km².
Residents
At the 2011 census, the VDCs, from which the city of Mirchaiya emerged, had 45,716 inhabitants (22,513 of them male) in 8,743 households.
