Katarina Tomašević ( Serbian - Cyrillic Катарина Томашевић ; born February 6, 1984 in Belgrade ) is a Serbian handball player .

Career

Katarina Tomašević played in the 2006/07 season in the Austrian Women Handball Austria at Hypo Niederösterreich . She then played for two years in Denmark for Team Esbjerg . From there she went to Spain to BM Bera Bera, in 2010 the 1.80 meter tall goalkeeper moved to the Serbian club ŽRK Zaječar. In the 2012/13 season Tomašević played for the German Bundesliga club Thuringian HC . In the 2013/14 season she was under contract with the French club Nantes Loire Atlantique Handball. She then moved to the Hungarian first division club FTC-Rail Cargo Hungaria . She paused the 2016/17 season due to her pregnancy. From summer 2017 she was under contract with Dunaújvárosi Kohász KA . Two seasons later, she joined Szombathelyi KKA .

With the Serbian national team , for which Katarina Tomašević has played 88 international matches so far , she took part in the European Championships in Macedonia in 2008 , in Denmark and Norway in 2010 and in Serbia in 2012 and won the silver medal at the 2013 World Cup in Serbia .
