Katharina Held (* 1995 in Hanover ) is a German singer with a soprano voice .

Life

Katharina Held received her first violin lessons at the age of four , and later also the piano and horn . At the age of seven, she became a member of the Hannover Girls' Choir , and from 2009 she received singing lessons from the choir director and lecturer Gudrun Schröfel .

Katharina Held temporarily studied singing with Julie Kaufmann at the University of the Arts in Berlin .

Katharina Held undertook concert tours with the Hannover Girls Choir to China, Estonia, Poland, Slovenia, the USA and Switzerland. Several of the singer's solo roles have been recorded on CD; at the Hanover State Opera she sang, among other things, the role of the first boy in the opera Die Zauberflöte by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart .

Katharina Held has received several awards at the Jugend musiziert music competition. In 2014 she won first prize at the national competition in the solo singing category in Braunschweig / Wolfenbüttel . In July of the same year she sang the part of the shepherd boy in the opera Tosca by Giacomo Puccini at the NDR Klassik Open Air .

Also in 2014, the Niedersächsische Sparkassenstiftung supported the singer with the two-week RAM scholarship at the Royal Academy of Music in London .
