Katharina Mayberg

Katharina Mayberg (born March 31, 1925 in Hamburg ; † February 21, 2007 in Hamburg-Othmarschen ) was a German actress .

Life and accomplishments

Katharina Mayberg took acting lessons from Waldemar Stegemann and initially worked as a stage actress. She made her debut as a film actress in the late 1940s, played in the DEFA film comedy Figaros Hochzeit in 1949 and became a popular actress in German film productions in the 1950s and 1960s. In films such as Die Schöne Müllerin (1954), Rosen-Resli (1954) and Mazurka der Liebe , a film adaptation of the Millöcker operetta Der Bettelstudent , she also became internationally known. In the production of her Schimmelreiter Albis Film GmbH she played her last role under the direction of Alfred Weidenmann , that of the maid Ann Grete, in the film Der Schimmelreiter (1978).

Katharina Mayberg had been married to the film producer Alf Teichs , who died in 1992, since 1956 and had a son.
