Katharina Voss

Katharina Voss (* 1967 in Bremen ; † February 26, 2018 ) was a German theater actress .

Life

From 1991 to 1994 Katharina Voß studied acting at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . After completing her studies, she performed at various theaters. After her first engagement at Theater Rudolstadt , she played at Theater Greifswald (1996/97 season), in Frankfurt am Main and Recklinghausen (1997–1999), at the Berliner Volksbühne , at the Theater Vorpommern and from 1999 at the Freie Kammerspiele Magdeburg .

From 2000 to 2004 she was engaged at the Hans-Otto-Theater in Potsdam . In the 2003/04 season she was part of the cast of the satirical play Der Feuerwehrball by Herbert Olschok . In 2004, she played there in The Maids by Jean Genet . In April 2004 she was, alongside Ursula-Rosamaria Gottert (as Eva Braun ), Magda Goebbels in the Potsdam premiere of the Nazi parody Goebbels and Geduldig by Peter Steinbach . From 2006 to 2008 she was a permanent member of the Rudolstadt Theater ensemble.

From September 2008 she was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Heilbronn Theater . Her stage roles there included u. a. Sittah in Nathan the Wise , mother Iokaste in Antigone , the dealer Lheureuse in Madame Bovary (season 2014/15), Claire Zachanassian in The Visit of the Old Lady (season 2016/17) and, as a male role, St. Just in Danton's death . Voss also played the three female roles in the Norwegian comedy Elling (season 2008/09) at the Heilbronn Theater and from March to July 2013 the roles of Ginger / Waitress in the musical Promises, Promises . Her last stage role at the Heilbronn Theater was the servant Maria in the Shakespeare comedy What you want in the 2017/18 season. Voss performed in this role at the Heilbronn Theater until shortly before her death.

In 2015 Voss was awarded the Kilian Prize of the Heilbronn Theater Association for her acting achievements.

Occasionally Voss also worked for film and television. For the cinema, she stood in 2005 in The Red Cockatoo by Dominik Graf on camera.

Voss died in February 2018 at the age of 50 after a long, serious illness. She was married and the mother of two sons. Your family lives in Schleswig-Holstein .
