Katharine Towne

Katharine Towne (* 17th July 1978 in Hollywood , California ) is an American actress .

Life and accomplishments

Katharine Towne is a daughter of actress Julie Payne and screenwriter Robert Towne , her grandparents John Payne and Anne Shirley were also actors. She made her debut in the film drama Cool Girl (1998), in which she starred alongside Dominique Swain and Sean Patrick Flanery . In the comedy The Bachelor (1999) she appeared in the role of Monique alongside Chris O'Donnell and Renée Zellweger . She starred alongside Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer in the 2000 thriller Shadow of Truth .

She played one of the leading roles in the comedy Sol Goode (2001) and in the television film Close to Home (2001). In the SF comedy Evolution (2001) she played the student of Professor Harry Block ( Orlando Jones ) Nadine , who tries to flirt with the professor. Another leading role followed in the horror film LD 50 Lethal Dose (2003). In the comedy Easy Six (2003) she appeared in one of the leading roles alongside Julian Sands and James Belushi .

Towne was married to actor Charlie Hunnam from 1999 to 2002 . She met him in 1999 when auditioning for the series Dawsons Creek .
