Kathrin Scheer

Kathrin Scheer (* 1979 ) is a German songwriter and singer in the field of pop jazz .

Scheer, who initially sang in various choirs, studied at the Cologne University of Music and Dance , where she discovered jazz . In 2000 she emerged from the national rock & pop competition as "Best Singer". She has been leading her own band since 2005, with whom she released her debut CD Rare in 2010 ; she also performed with Sebastian Studnitzky . She was also a member of the A-Cappella Quartet Klang District and was part of Maxime Bender's sextet , with whom she also recorded. For the film Vier Minuten (2006) she worked with the composer Annette Focks ; She can also be heard as a songwriter in the film Die Wilden Hühner und die Liebe (2007). As a studio musician , she was involved in productions by Jamie Cullum , Max Mutzke and Gregor Meyle .

Since 2013 she has been working as a vocal coach for the casting shows The Voice of Germany and The Voice Kids . She is also a lecturer in pop singing at the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences .
