Kathrine Rolsted Harsem (born February 7, 1989 ) is a Norwegian cross-country skier .

Career

Harsem has been participating in FIS cross-country skiing competitions since 2006. Since 2010 she has mainly participated in the Scandinavian Cup , which she won in 2014 and 2015 . At the U23 World Championship 2010 in Hinterzarten , she won silver in the sprint. She ran her first World Cup race in March 2010 in Oslo , which she finished in 52nd place. At the 2011 Rollerski World Championships in Aure and Kristiansund , she won silver in the sprint and gold in the relay. In March 2012 she won the Rensfjell race over 58 km classic. Her first World Cup points took 17th place in the sprint in Drammen in March 2013 . In the same month, as in the previous year, she won the Rensfjell race over 58 km classic. She achieved her first top ten placement in a World Cup individual race in February 2014 in Toblach with tenth place in the sprint. She finished the 2013/14 season in 47th place in the overall World Cup ranking and 22nd in the sprint ranking. At the Norwegian cross-country skiing championships in Molde and Gålå in 2014 , she won silver in the sprint and team sprint. In January 2015, in Otepää , she achieved seventh place in the sprint, her best result so far in an individual World Cup race. In March 2015 she became Norwegian champion over 5 km. At the beginning of the 2015/16 season she finished 19th at the Nordic Opening in Ruka . With eighth place in the sprint stage, she achieved her best individual World Cup result of the season. In January 2016, she came third in the 10 km mass start race at the Scandinavian Cup in Östersund . At the end of the season she reached 29th place in the overall World Cup and 18th place in the Sprint World Cup. At the Norwegian championships she won the team sprint together with Marthe Kristoffersen and took second place in the relay. After finishing 12th in the World Cup mini tour in Lillehammer at the beginning of the 2016/17 season, she took second place in the 15 km mass start race in the Scandinavian Cup in Lillehammer. She finished the 2016/17 Tour de Ski with four top ten placements in 18th place overall. At the beginning of February 2017 she won bronze in the sprint and over 10 km in classic and gold in the relay at the Norwegian championships in Lygna . At the Nordic World Ski Championships 2017 in Lahti she finished 13th in the sprint. At the end of the season she came in 15th place at the World Cup finals in Québec and reached 18th place in the Distance World Cup, 13th place in the overall World Cup and 12th place in the Sprint World Cup. In the 2017/18 season she took 11th place in the Ruka Triple and 13th place in the World Cup final in Falun . In January 2018 she reached her first podium in the World Cup with second place in the sprint in Planica . At the season highlight, the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang , she finished 18th in the sprint. She finished the season in 16th place in the Distance World Cup, in 14th place in the overall World Cup and in ninth place in the Sprint World Cup.
