Katrin Stefaner (born January 20, 1987 in Villach ) is a former Austrian ski jumper .

Career

Stefaner, who started for the SV Achomitz , made her international debut in January 2003 at the FIS jumping in Planica . With places nine and eleven, she showed a good performance at her first international appearance at the age of 16. She also achieved two top 10 placements in the jumping competitions in her home town of Villach . At the junior competition in Planica, which took place a short time later, she achieved her first podium with third place. In March 2003 she jumped again to places 11 and 13 on the same hill. At the European Youth Olympic Festival 2003 in Bled, Stefaner won the bronze medal behind Anette Sagen and Ulrike Gräßler .

At the beginning of the 2003/04 winter season, Stefaner impressed with two fourth places in Predazzo . In January 2005 she made her debut in the Ski Jumping Continental Cup and, with 26th place in Planica, achieved the points in her first competition. She also managed to win points in Toblach , before narrowly missing the points in Saalfelden am Steinernen Meer . She finished the 2004/05 season in 45th place overall.

In the summer of 2008 she competed again in Bischofshofen , Klingenthal , Pöhla and Meinerzhagen , also won points in all jumping competitions, but withdrew from the international competition afterwards.
