Katy Winter (born March 15, 1983 in Courroux ) is a singer and songwriter with Icelandic and Swiss roots.

Life

Winter became known to a wide audience in Switzerland through her participation in the first season of the singing talent show MusicStar , which was broadcast on Swiss television between November 2003 and February 2004. There she met the Swiss singer Baschi , with whom she was a couple until spring 2013.

In 2006 she played the role of Kalija in Luke Gasser's film Anuk . Her single Stronger is also the title song of the television series Tag und Nacht, which was discontinued in 2008, on Swiss television.

Winter lives in Frick , where she ran a tea house / creperie called Méli Mélo until the end of 2013 . She works as an independent PR manager, yoga and mindfulness instructor, hand analyst and nutrition coach for various companies. Since February 2017 Katy Winter has been running the tattoo studio "The Tattoo Shop Klybeck" in Kleinbasel together with her father Pierre Winter.

At the end of 2017, Winter took part in the seventh season of the singing casting show The Voice of Germany , where she was eliminated from the "Sing-Offs" of the best 40 participants.
