The seventh season of the singing talent show The Voice of Germany was broadcast on television from October 19, 2017 to December 17, 2017. Like the two previous seasons , it was moderated by Thore Schölermann and Lena Gercke . The jury included the jury duo Smudo and Michi Beck from the hip-hop band Die Fantastischen Vier , the singer and actress Yvonne Catterfeld , the songwriter, guitarist and singer Samu Haber and, for the first time, the singer and songwriter Mark Forster . The winner was Natia Todua from Samu Haber's coaching group.

First phase: the blind auditions

The blind auditions were recorded from July 2 to 7, 2017 in the Adlershof studio in Berlin and broadcast in nine television programs from October 19 to November 16, 2017. The jury selected 77 candidates - 39 women, 36 men and 2 duos - for the second phase, in which Mark Forster, Yvonne Catterfeld and Michi and Smudo with 19 each and Samu Haber with 20 candidates moved in.

All four jury votes received the candidates BB Thomaz, Benedikt Köstler, Jade Pearl Baker, Lara Samira Will, Michael Kutscha, Georgia Loui, Meike Hammerschmidt, Natia Todua, Luana Eschment, Marlin Williford, Johannes Pinter, Semion Bazavlouk, Mary-Anne Bröllochs, Alexander Babacan, Tiago Ribeiro da Costa, Amin Afify, Chiara Tahnee Lütje, Juan Geck, Michael Russ, Dzenan Buldic, Yagmur Yagan, Daniel Castro Dominguez and Janina Beyerlein. Second phase: the battle round

The Battle Round was recorded in Berlin from September 5 to 7, 2017 and broadcast in four television programs from November 19 to 30, 2017. In Samu Haber's group of 20 candidates, seven one-on-one duels and two three-way battles took place; In the other three groups, the 19 candidates fought eight one-on-one duels and one three-way battle. The respective coach selected a participant from each battle directly into the next phase. As in the third to sixth seasons, some inferior battle candidates also got into the next phase if one of the other coaches took them over ( steal deal ). All four coaches each took on a candidate from a different group, so that all four coaching groups with ten participants went into the next phase.

tour

As since the second season, some participants in the show went on a tour of Germany. In the final it was decided by televoting that in addition to the four finalists, the two semi-finalists Lara-Samira Will and Gregor Hägele could take part. Since BB Tomaz decided against participating in the tour because of family obligations, semi-finalist Dzenan Buldic moved up. Benedikt Köstler missed the start of the tour in the Bayreuth Upper Franconia Hall because of a cold that was delayed.
