The Voice Kids / Season 7
The seventh season of the German singing talent show The Voice Kids premiered on television from February 17, 2019 to April 21, 2019. The seventh season was moderated by Thore Schölermann and Melissa Khalaj . The jury consisted of Alec Völkel and Sascha Vollmer from the country band Bosshoss in a double chair , the ESC winner Lena Meyer-Landrut , the singer Stefanie Kloß from the band Silbermond and the singer-songwriter Mark Forster . The winners of the seventh season were Mimi & Josy .

First phase: the blind auditions
The following candidates received all four jury votes: Thapelo, Isabelle, Nico, Max, Lilo, David, Lazaros, Lea, Remy, the duo Mimi & Josefin , Tapiwa, Davit, Elena, Sila N., Teodora, Idalia and Theo. Of these 17, six opted for Mark Forster, four each for The BossHoss and Stefanie Kloß and three for Lena Meyer-Landrut as coach.

Second phase: Battle Round
In the 7th season, a total of 60 children were able to qualify for the second round during the “blind auditions”, so there were 15 candidates in each team. Three children from each team competed against each other. Only one made the next round, the Sing Offs.

Third phase: the sing-offs
The five winners from the battles competed against each other in their respective teams. There they sang their songs from the blind auditions again. Your own coach was then allowed to take two children from your own team into the final.

Fourth phase: finals
The final took place on April 21, 2019. In order to protect minors , the stage performances of the underage participants were recorded earlier and broadcast with a time delay, only the announcement of the winners was broadcast live.
The two finalists per team had a joint appearance with their coach and each had a solo appearance. After that, each coach had to choose one of his talents, which he took into the final phase, the “voting round”.

Fifth phase: voting round
The four winners of the fourth phase Thapelo, Mimi & Josefin, Lea and Davit each sang another song. It was also Luke Rieger a guest of his new title Nobody Knows Me (Like You Do) presented. In the meantime, viewers could vote for their favorites via televoting . The winners of the show became Mimi & Josefin and thus for the first time a duo.
